Camms is pleased to announce the October Feature Release for Camms.Strategy.
This was released on 17th October 2020 and includes the following new features and enhancements to improve your user experience within the system.
Ability to view backend mapping codes |
Administrators can now configure the visibility of the 'Import Key' field for Organisational and Custom hierarchy nodes. This will be useful when an HR integration is in place, to know the backend mapping codes for each node, which will help when troubleshooting and matching against the source data.
First, enable the setting ‘View/ Edit Import Key in Organisational and Custom Hierarchies' in order to view/ edit the ‘Import Key’ field within the Organisational and Custom Hierarchy nodes.
The administrator can enable the setting via the Strategy Navigation Menu > Administration > Settings > View/ Edit Import Key in Organisational and Custom Hierarchies. You can find this on page 3 of the settings.
Enter a value between 0 and 2 for this setting, as there are three statuses to configure this setting. The three statuses are detailed below:
0 – Hides the ‘Import Key’ field within Organisational and Custom hierarchy nodes.
Note: An empty text field will hide the ‘Import Key’ field too.1 – Ability to view the ‘Import Key’ field within Organisational and Custom hierarchy nodes (Read-only).
2 – Ability to edit the ‘Import Key’ field within Organisational and Custom hierarchy nodes.
If the Administrator entered ‘0’ for the setting text field or left the field blank, the ‘Import Key’ field is not visible within organisational and custom hierarchy nodes.
If the Administrator entered ‘1’ for the setting text field, the ‘Import Key’ field within each organisational and custom hierarchy nodes is visible.
The ‘Import Key’ field is shown within each organisational (Directorates, Business Units, and Service Profiles) and custom hierarchy nodes.
A new property called ‘Import Key’ is shown in the ‘Properties Selected’ grid in the ‘Hierarchy Configuration’ area. This can be accessed via Strategy Navigation > Custom Hierarchies > Hierarchy Configuration > Hierarchy Level > Select any hierarchy > Property icon in any hierarchy level. You can change the ‘Position’ and the ‘Label Text’ by editing the property.
Note: For clients who have enabled the flexible security hierarchy feature (i.e. access managed through roles assigned to staff), ‘Hierarchy Configuration’ page can be accessed via Strategy navigation > Framework > Hierarchy > Hierarchy Configuration > Hierarchy Level > Select any hierarchy > Property icon in any hierarchy level.
If the Administrator entered ‘2’ in the settings text field, the ‘Import Key’ field within each organisational and custom hierarchy nodes will be editable.
The ‘Import Key’ field within each organisational (Directorates, Business Units, and Service Profiles) and custom hierarchy nodes is editable.
