Administration: Creating datasets for Incident Custom Objects/Tables, Registers and Multi Value Fields

As a Incident Administrator, you can create dedicated datasets for specific instances of custom objects, tables, registers and multi-value fields used within your incident workflows. Insights Administrators can then enable these new datasets for use within Insights. Instructions are given below:

Within Incident - creating datasets for custom objects

  • STEP 1: Go to Framework > Incident Settings > Object Configuration. Click on the desired custom object and locate the Create Insights Dataset button.

  • STEP 2: Click the button to create the dataset.

  • STEP 3: Log in to Insights as an Administrator, then update and execute your datasets as described here.

Within Incident - creating datasets for custom tables

  • STEP 1: Go to Framework > Incident Settings > Custom Tables.
    Click on the desired custom table and locate the Create Insights Dataset button.

  • STEP 3: Log in to Insights as an Administrator, then update and execute your datasets as described here.

  • STEP 1: Go to Framework > Incident Settings > Register Configuration.
    Click on the desired register and locate the Create Insights Dataset button.

Within Incident - creating datasets for multi value fields

  • STEP 1: Go to Framework > Incident Settings, and select the custom object, table, or register containing your multi-value field.
    Click on the desired field and locate the Create Insights Dataset button.
