Strategy Reports | What is the difference between the logics behind the Action Status and Action Performance in the Organizational performance Report?

Action Status and Action Performance consist of two separate logics. Please find below explanation on the logic behind.

Action Performance

The Action Performance Gauge will indicate the Percentage of target achieved by an action which is calculated via ((% Complete/Target) * 100%).
Example:
Refer below sample figure indicating details of a single Action:

The above-mentioned action has a Target of 70% and the Percentage Completed is only 60%. Thereby, the Percentage of Target Achieved is approximately 85.7%. This value is indicated in the Action Performance gauge.

Therefore, the Overview section derives the average of this Target Percentage. That is Action Performance gauge in the Overview section shows the sum of all Target Percentages of the available actions divided by the total number of actions reported. There can be instances where this average amount can exceed 100% and in such cases also the indicator will reflect as 100%.
In the attached report forwarded by the client, this average Target Percentage amount exceeds 100% and hence the indicator represents 100% in the Overview page.

Action Status
The Action Status within the overview page reflects the total count of Actions which are On track out of the total number of actions reported. (Actions which have achieved at least 90% of the target are considered to be On Track).
Hence these two sections contain separate logics and doesn't have any dependency.

This will comprise of the below:

  1. On Track Actions which have achieved 90% or more and less than 100% of the target are considered to be On Track.

  2. Monitor Actions which have achieved 70%-89% of the target are considered to be in the Monitor status.

  3. Needs Work Actions which have achieved less than 70% of the target are considered to be in the Needs Work status.

  4. No Target Actions which do not have a target set will fall under this category.

  5. Completed  Actions which have achieved 100% of the target.

Refer below sample figure indicating details of multiple Actions:
