Survey Settings

1. Overview

This page will let you add and edit survey settings such as user list, inherited user roles, and user roles. The Survey Settings page can be assessed only by users with the 'Survey Setting' permission assigned to them via a Super Admin.

2. User List

View the list of Survey users via this page. Go to Menu > Survey Settings > User List [tab] to view this page. This page will list all users in the Survey module and their roles.

2.1 Search/Filter Details

  • Filter details by clicking on the filter icon next to the column you wish to filter details by, enter the text to filter, and click the Filter button. 

  • To remove filtering, click on the filter icon again and click the Clear button.

  • Additionally, you may click on the page numbers at the bottom of the page to navigate and access all users.

2.2 Assign User Roles

  • Edit a user's details by clicking on the Edit button in the right corner next to the username.

  • In the popup window you can select multiple roles for the user under the 'List of Roles' field. The 'Active' status will denote if the user is active or not.

  • Click Save to save edited details.

3. Inherited User Roles

View permissions inherited to the logged in user via this page. Go to Menu > Survey Settings > Inherited User Roles [tab] to view this page.

3.1 Search/Filter Details

  • Filter details by clicking on the filter icon next to the column you wish to filter details by, enter the text to filter, and click the Filter button. 

  • To remove filtering, click on the filter icon again and click the Clear button.

  • Additionally, you may click on the page numbers at the bottom of the page to navigate and access all inherent user roles.

3.2 Edit Inherited User Roles

  • Edit already inherited user roles by clicking on the Edit button in the right corner next to the role.

  • In the popup window you can select multiple additional roles under the 'Additional Roles' field.

  • Click Save to save edited role details.

4. User Roles

View the list of user roles in the Survey system and create new user roles via this page. Go to Menu > Survey Settings > User Roles [tab] to view this page.

4.1 Search/Filter Details

  • Filter details by clicking on the filter icon next to the column you wish to filter details by, enter the text to filter, and click the Filter button. 

  • To remove filtering, click on the filter icon again and click the Clear button.

  • Additionally, you may click on the page numbers at the bottom of the page to navigate and access all user roles.

4.2 Create User Role

  • You may add a new user role by clicking on the Add New button in the top-right corner of the page.

    In the popup window enter a role name, description, and select the permissions to be associated with this user role under the 'Permissions' field.

Survey Add

This permission will let a user create a survey and add questions to it. If a user created a survey, they will inherit the permission to view, edit, and delete the survey and its questions.

Show All Survey Records In Register

This permission will let a user only view the list of all surveys in the survey register. In order to be able to view details of surveys that are not created by the user, the 'View Survey Details' permission must to be given additionally.

View Survey Details

This permission will let a user view details of the survey in read-only mode. In order to view details of surveys that are not created by the user, the 'Show All Survey Records In Register' permission must be given additionally.

Edit Survey Details

This permission will let a user edit details of a survey including questions. In order to edit a survey that is not created by the user, the permissions 'Show All Survey Records In Register' and 'View Survey Details' must be given additionally.

Survey Delete

This permission will let a user delete questions in a survey and the complete survey too. In order to delete a survey that is not created by the user, the permissions 'Show All Survey Records In Register' and 'View Survey Details' must be given additionally.

Survey Settings

This permission will let a user access the Survey Settings page from the main menu.

  • Click Save to add the new user role.

Note: The added user role can then be attached to a user, under the List of Roles field for a user in the User List page.

4.3 Edit User Roles

  • Edit already added user roles by clicking on the Edit button in the right corner next to the role.

  • In the popup window you can update the role name, description, and select multiple permissions under the 'Permissions' field.

  • Click Save to save the edited user role.
