Feature Release Note | cammsengage, March 2020

CAMMS is pleased to announce the March Feature Release for cammsengage.

Important Note: This will be released on 27th March 2020 and will include the following new features and enhancements to improve your user experience within the system.

1. Say hello to our new Action Task List Component

  • This new component will display information related to action tasks in a grid view.

1.1 Dashboard Admin Panel

  • The Action Task List component can be added to your dashboard from the Admin panel. Just go to the 'Dashboards’ page and simple select the relevant dashboard. Drill down to the required level, then drag and drop the component on to the page design area (See below Figure 1).

  • Once the component is added into a node, the Administrator will have the option of selecting which tasks are to be shown (i.e. directly linked tasks or rolled up tasks) in the Edit Menu of the component. All the tasks will be listed based on the selection. By ticking 'Visible' the Administrator can choose which tasks should appear on the Dashboard. (See Figure 2).

  • You can find the fields to be shown on the front- end of the dashboard in the configuration menu of the Action Task List component, where they can be enabled for display. (See Figure 3).

1.2 Front-end view of the Action Task List Component

  • Below figure 4 depicts how the Action Task List component will be shown on the front end of the dashboard.

2. Introducing the ability to automatically display all the projects which are linked to the hierarchy

  • This enhancement will allow the Administrator to ensure that any project which is directly linked to the hierarchy which the cammsengage dashboard is linked to would automatically be displayed in the cammsengage frontend without requiring a manual addition.

2.1 Dashboard Admin Panel

  • A checkbox named ‘Display Linked Projects Automatically’ has now been added to the dashboard configuration page.

  • Administrator will be able to see this checkbox once he navigates to the configuration tab (See below Figure 5).

  • When the checkbox is ticked, it will ensure that going forward all the projects which are linked to the hierarchy which the dashboard is based on, would be made visible and displayed in the front-end automatically (without requiring any manual intervention).

Note: This checkbox will not impact the projects which are already linked to the hierarchy. Only the projects which are linked subsequent to activating this setting will be automatically linked.

  • The administrator will have the option to tick/un-tick this checkbox at any given time. However un-ticking would not revert the already made visible projects.
