1. Introducing the New Camms.Risk Incident Mobile App

The Camms.Risk Incident Mobile Application is crafted with precision and efficiency, leveraging the cutting-edge Flutter framework as its primary technology stack. Flutter, renowned for its versatility and speed, empowers the app with a seamless and responsive user interface across both iOS and Android platforms.

But, first read on to find out how you can download the Beta Application to get a first look and review the new version, before our Live launch later this year.

2. Getting Started

HOW TO REGISTER FOR BETA REVIEW AND DOWNLOAD THE BETA APPLICATION 

iOS: Test flight

TestFlight is a tool from Apple that allows beta testers to install and test an application before it is officially released in the App Store. Below are the steps you can follow to install the beta version of the application:

  1. Please register for Beta review by submitting your details HERE.

  2. The team will send an email with a link to the test version.

  3. Click on the link provided on the iOS device where you want to install the app.

  4. A website with further instructions will open.

  5. If you have not installed TestFlight yet, follow the instructions below to install it on your device. If TestFlight is already installed, continue with the next step.

    • Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.

    • Search for "TestFlight" in the search bar.

    • Download and install the TestFlight app by tapping "Get”.

    • Open TestFlight once it's installed.

    Now, you can use TestFlight to install and test beta apps that you’ve been invited to.

  6. If TestFlight is installed, continue and click on the Start Testing button. TestFlight will open. 

  7. Inside TestFlight, click the Install button next to the app you want to install to start the installation.

  8. Once the installation is finished, the app can be opened from inside TestFlight or directly from a short cut on the home screen. Just like any other app on your device.

Android: APK

An Android Package Kit (APK) is the package file format used by the Android operating system for distribution and installation of mobile apps.

  1. Please register for Beta review by submitting your details HERE.

  2. You will receive an email including a Google Drive link which contains the APK.

  3. Download the APK file into your android device.

  4. Since your phone considers any application outside of Google Play an "unknown app", you need to tell your phone to allow you to download and install unknown apps. Use the following:

  • ENABLE "UNKNOWN APPS" ON ANDROID 8 (OREO) AND LATER

  1. Go to Settings > Apps.

  2. Tap Menu icon > Special access.

  3. Toggle Install Unknown Apps to the On position for the application the link is opened on.

(This might also be prompted automatically)

  • ENABLE "UNKNOWN APPS" ON ANDROID NOUGAT

  1. Go into Settings.

  2. Tap Security (or Lock Screen and Security).

  3. Scroll down to the Device Administration section and enable Unknown Sources. (This might be prompted as well)

  4. Tap the downloaded APK file. Allow the app any required permissions it asks for if prompted. Then, at the bottom of the installer window, click INSTALL.

  5. You'll see a confirmation the app is installed. Now you'll see the app available in your list of installed apps.

SETTING UP THE BETA APPLICATION
Click on the Camms Incident icon on the home screen to launch the application and load the Login screen.

Click on the SETTINGS button at the bottom of the Login screen to access the settings area and configure the following items.

LOGGING IN TO THE BETA APPLICATION

Note: Login to the application using your Test environment credentials. If you require assistance please contact Camms Support to obtain your Login Credentials.

Please follow the below steps to log in to the application:

  • Step 1: If you are logging in to the application for the first time, you will need to type in the Organisation ID, Username, and Password in the Login screen for future access. From your second login onwards, only the Password will be required for the same user.
    Additionally, there is a Remember Me option if you wish to save your credentials on the mobile device you are using.

  • Step 2: Ticking the Remember Me option will allow you to only enter the password at the next log in and will save the organisation and username details.

  • Step 3: After entering the login details, tap the Login button to navigate to the landing page on your Incident Application.

2. Setting up the Live Application

Note: Please Synchronize your offline data prior to downloading the Live application.

  • Download the Camms Incident Mobile Application from Apple's App Store for iPhone devices or Google Play Store for Android devices by searching for the name Camms Incident Manager on iOS devices and Camms Incident on Android devices.                          

  • Click on the Camms Incident icon on the home screen to launch the application and load the Login screen.

  • Click on the SETTINGS button at the bottom of the Login screen to access the setting area and configure the following items.

This will let you select the Region in which the application is used and the environment type.

Select this option as: AU Demo

Service URL

Once you select the Region as Custom enter one of the following URLs

3. Updating the Live Application

  • Download the Camms Incident Mobile App update from Apple's App Store for iPhone devices or Google Play Store for Android devices by searching for the name Camms Incident Manager.

  • Once you complete the update, go to Settings and reconfigure the settings by selecting the relevant Region and by entering the URL and click Save.

Note: If your Camms instance is hosted on a private cloud, you will need to use the Custom option within the Region dropdown and enter the Service URL for your instance. Please contact Camms Support if you are unsure of the URL link to use.

3.1 Logging in to the Live Application

4. Fingerprint and Facial recognition

  • A new section in the Settings area will now let you enable biometric options within the application. Please access the Settings area after you log in to the app to setup biometric login for your next.

  • This would allow you to initially authenticate yourself with the preferred biometric option (fingerprint or face recognition), and thereafter continue using the selected biometric authentication method each time you log in to the application.

5. SSO Login

  • Step 1: Once the application has opened tap on ‘Settings’ button and navigate to the Settings screen.

  • Step 2: Select <Region> from Region dropdown and the service URL will automatically be selected.

  • Step 3: Within the SSO authentication section Enable the ‘Enable SSO’ toggle and enter Organization Name.

  • Step 4: Tap on Done button and navigate to Login screen.

  • Step 5: Tap on ‘Login with SSO’ button.

  • Step 6: Enter credentials and tap on Sign In button.
