Camms is pleased to bring you the Quarterly Product Release Notification for Camms.Strategy.
This quarter we've got a number of exciting new features and enhancements to improve your user experience within the system, which will be available in your Test environment on 11th September 2021 and will be available in your Live instance on 25th September 2021
1. Introducing new filters for a Service Profile in the Actions tab in EIS |
This enhancement will let you filter actions shown within the Actions tab in EIS, via Service Profiles and Service Profile Groupings.
Note:Â This feature is applicable only to customers who are using standard permission structure.
How will this work?
Two new filters called ‘Service Profile’ and ‘Service Profile Grouping’ will be introduced within the Action tab in EIS.
Both filters will be dropdowns, and by default ‘Show All’ will be selected.
The ‘Service Profile’ filter will show all the service profiles and the ‘Service Profile Grouping’ filter will show all the service profile groupings created in the product.
You will now be able to select a service profile or a service profile grouping to further narrow down list of actions within the EIS.
2. Filtering Actions and KPIs using tags within the Executive Builder |
This enhancement will let you filter Actions and KPIs using tags when adding them to an Executive Report via the Executive Builder area.
How will this work?
2.1 For Actions
On the actions ‘Add’ area within an executive report in the Executive Builder, within the ‘Search By’ dropdown, a new option called ‘Tags’ will appear.
Once ‘Tags’ is selected from the dropdown, all tags created within the system will appear on the dropdown next to the ‘Search By’ filter.
You will now be able to filter Actions using tags when adding them to an Executive Report via the Executive Builder area.
2.2 For KPI
On the KPI ‘Add’ area within an executive report in the Executive Builder, a new filter called ‘Tags’ will appear. All the tags created with the system will appear in this dropdown.
You will now be able to filter Actions using tags when adding them to an Executive Report via the Executive Builder area.
3. Ability to create KPIs that are not linked to the organisational hierarchy nodes where the staff member is linked |
This enhancement will let you create KPIs which will not be linked to the organisational hierarchy nodes where the staff member who creates the KPI, is linked.
Note: This feature is currently applicable only to customers who have enabled the new Flexible Hierarchy permission structure, which is currently in beta.
How do you configure this?
A new setting called ‘Link KPIs to the organisational hierarchy nodes where the staff is linked at’ will be introduced.Â
This setting is enabled by default, as the existing behaviour is to have the KPI linked to the organisational hierarchy nodes where the staff is linked at, as the KPI is created.
Users with access to the ‘Settings’ page (Menu > Administration > Settings) will be able to disable this setting.
How will this work?
Once the configuration above is completed, users with permission to create KPIs will be able to create KPIs that have no linkage to the organisational hierarchy nodes where the staff, who creates the KPI, is linked at.
4. Creating KPIs linked to the selected hierarchy node |
This enhancement will let you create KPIs which are linked to the selected hierarchy node at the time of creation.
How will this work?
When you are on the KPI page (accessed via Menu > Planning > Performance Management > KPIs) you have the ability to select a hierarchy and its hierarchy node from the hierarchy tree on the left side.
Select the hierarchy node where you want the KPI to be linked at, and click on the new icon. Enter the details for the KPI and create the KPI. The newly created KPI will be linked to the selected hierarchy node.
5. Ability to integrate multiple Active Directories |
This modification will let you to integrate multiple Active Directories when SAML based SSO is in place.
Note: If you have multiple active directories within your organisation, you can enable this modification by contacting Camms.
How will this work?
When you enter the URL to log in to our products via an SSO (Single Sign On), you will be directed to a page to select your active directory.
You will be directed to the identity provider authentication page based on the selected active directory from the previous screen.
A successful authentication will direct you to the Camms SSO Portal.
6. Increasing the font size of titles in the Strategy Map |
This enhancement will increase the visibility of titles in the Strategy Map. The font sizes of the titles in the Strategy Map will be increased for better visibility.
7. Overall performance calculation of Scorecards |
The logic of calculating the overall performance of a scorecard has been corrected such that the individual performance of KPIs/Scorecards that are linked to the parent scorecard, does not contribute a negative value. If the weighted performance of a linked KPI/Scorecard is negative, its contribution to the parent scorecard is considered as 0 (zero).
8. Enhancing the Action and Task Progress Report to be compatible with Flex hierarchy permissions and introduction of Action Tags |
With this enhancement, the Progress Report will be compatible with the flex hierarchy, wherein, you will be able to view the hierarchy levels and nodes based on their relevant permissions.
Further, the report will incorporate the Action Description field and the Action Tags in a more convenient design. Additionally, you will possess control over the visibility of the Action Tags, while having the capability of filtering out actions, based on Action Tags.
8.1 Incorporating action tags
The filter option of ‘Action Tags’ is now available for the Action and Task Progress Report. The below image displays the filter page where you can select to view all the tagged action records, specific tagged actions, or actions with no tags. Additionally, you will possess control over depicting action tags within the report as per your choice via the filter page.
The Action and Task Progress Report will therefore generate a report similar to the screenshot below, where the Action Tags will be presented beneath their respective Action Title.
8.2 Incorporation of the action description
The Action Descriptions are now displayed with its respective Action record. The below image shows how a generated report will display its corresponding Action Description.
9. Enhancing the Organisational Performance Report to be compatible with beta flexible hierarchy permissions |

10. Enhanced standard Action Performance and Timeframe report to showcase Action tags |
The report is now modified to showcase the actions tags within the report by providing the ability for you to control the visibility of the area via a checkbox parameter within the filter page of the report.
The report will let you filter actions based on action tags for multiple scenarios.
The action tags are visualised in a meaningful manner as depicted below.
11. Enhancing the Scorecard Report to ensure the Hierarchy and Scorecard filters are compatible with Flex permissions |
This feature will ensure that the Scorecard Report-Standard is compatible with Flex Hierarchy permissions, wherein you will be able to view the Hierarchy nodes based on the relevant permissions as per the assigned User Roles.
With this enhancement, the Hierarchy filters and Scorecard filter of the Scorecard Report-Standard have been modified to be compatible with the flex hierarchy.
The linkage between the Hierarchy and Scorecard filters enables you to filter Scorecards in line with the respective hierarchy node, based on the logged in user's permissions.
Further, all Hierarchy filters i.e. Hierarchy Type, Level, and Node will be defaulted to 'Show All'.
