Feature Release Note | cammsaudit, March 2020
CAMMS is pleased to announce the March feature release for cammsaudit.
This was released on 21st March 2020 and includes the following new features and enhancements to improve your user experience within the system.Â
1. Multiple selection feature when filtering in registers |
Ability to filter Audit Recommendations by multiple recommendation statuses is now introduced within the Audit Recommendation register.Â
The Audit Recommendation Status dropdown is now a improved to be a multi select dropdown where you can select more than one status at a time and filter Audit Recommendations.Â
The multiple selections will display as a count in the filter inline view and you will need to click on the dropdown to view the selections.
When multiple statuses are selected the selected statuses will have an OR condition between each selection within the filter but will have an AND condition between the other filter parameters.Â
For example, if the selected statuses are ‘Not Started’ and ‘In Progress’, the filter will apply to those Audit Recommendations that have the status as either ‘Not Started’ or ‘In Progress’.
The selection of multiple Audit Recommendation statuses in the filter can be saved, by ticking the ‘Save as Default’ tick box, which will then automatically filter the records based on the saved selection each time the register is accessed following the existing standard behaviour.
2. More user-friendly linking of audit actions to risk treatments |
Few usability improvements are implemented in the Audit Recommendation Links tab to further improve the user experience when linking an Audit recommendation to a Risk action.Â
Hide the ability to link to existing Risk ActionsÂ
A new setting ‘Hide the ability to link to existing risk actions in the audit recommendation links tab’ is available for the Administrators in the Settings area accessed via Cammsaudit > Administration > Configuration where they as an administrator you can choose to enable/disable the ability to link an audit recommendation to any existing risk action.
When the setting is ON, end users will not be able to view any existing risk actions, thereby limiting the ability to link an audit recommendation to an existing risk action and directing them to only add new risk actions created from the linking areas itself.
Only the row to add a new risk action will be visible where the user will able to create a new risk action against the audit recommendation and proceed to linking them.
When the setting is OFF, the user can link risk actions and audit recommendations in the standard manner with no change. Â
Ability to filter Risk actions by Organisation Hierarchy LinksÂ
An organisation hierarchy links filter has been introduced to provide the ability to filter the Risk Actions based on the linked organisation node of the risk, for the selected Risk Type to further help marrow down the action list available for linking.
The ‘Organisation Links’ dropdown is a searchable multi select dropdown where more than one organisation node can be selected, if needed to filter risk actions. Users will need to type part of the organisation node name which they wish to filter by and the dropdown will display all matching nodes carrying a .txt based search for the node.
The matching nodes will display within the dropdown sorted in the order of the organisation hierarchy level. For example, Directorate, Business units, Service profiles etc.
The breadcrumb of the hierarchy structure from the parent node will also display below the node for users to understand the hierarchical structure better when in the search results.Â
The existing Risk Actions will filter to show only those actions that are linked to the selected organisation node and the selected risk type.Â
The Risk selection dropdown will be limited to display risks that are linked to the selected organisation nodes and the selected risk type.
Ability to view details of a selected risk for when creating a risk action
Ability to view the details of the selected risk for which a new risk action will be created is now possible by clicking on the ‘View details’ hyperlink below the Risk selection dropdown.
This ‘View details’ link will enable only once the Risk is selected from the dropdown.
Upon clicking the View details link a new tab will open within the browser window displaying the Risk details of the selected Risk.
3. Audit Responsible Officer as a recipient for Recommendation completion emails |
This feature will provide the ability to configure emails to trigger to the Audit Responsible officer when an Audit Recommendation is completed.
A new recipient  named ‘Audit Responsible Officer’ is introduced within the recipient list in email configurations  which can be accessed by the Administrator in the setting area accessed via  Cammsaudit > Administration > Audit Administration > Email Rules.
This new recipient is linked to the Responsible officer of the linked Audit for the recommendation.Â
The recipient will appear within the recipient list when the ‘Recommendation Completion’ trigger is selected and as an administrator, you will be able to select the audit responsible officer as a recipient for the email trigger.Â
A new snippet named ‘Audit Responsible Officer’ is introduced within the snippet list in email templates which can be accessed by the Administrator in the setting area accessed via Cammsaudit > Administration > Audit Administration > Email Templates.Â
The snippet will be linked to the Responsible Officer of the Audit of the related recommendation when the email trigger ‘Recommendation complete’ is selected and can be used in any email templates going forward.
