Camms.Risk Controls Management | December 2022
Camms is pleased to bring you the Quarterly Product Release Note for Camms.Risk Controls.
This quarter we've got a number of exciting new features and enhancements to improve your user experience within the system, which will be available in your Test environment on 3rd December 2022 and will be available in your Live instance on 17th December 2022.
1. Updating the control title and common fields via Risk/Compliance |
With this feature, you will have the ability to edit the Control Title and Common Fields through Linkages via the Camms.Risk and Camms.Risk Compliance products when there is a Control for a Risk or Compliance record.
How do you configure this?
Navigate to a specific Risk or Compliance Record > Control Details Grid > Control Record Details page.
Users with permission to edit a control will be able to update a control title and and its common fields.
The below additional permissions will be required to view/edit linked Controls:
In the Flex Hierarchy: User roles with permissions configured under Menu > Administration > Role Management > [Product = Controls] > Details > Control Details, will be able to view/edit the Control Detail page.
The configuration setting must be switched ON for the feature to be enabled. This feature can be configured by ticking the setting via Menu > Administration > Configuration > Settings > Allow to edit Control Fields via Control Record Grids (Risk and Compliance) despite being Common'.
How does this work?
Once this setting is turned ON, common fields will be highlighted within the Control Record Details page within the Risk or Compliance Control record, enabling you to update the common fields and the Control Title, despite the number of linkages present.
The change made through the Control Details page either from a Risk or Compliance Control record will be updated in the Master Control and all its linkages effectively.
2. Updates to the My Quick Update filter |
A universal configuration will be introduced to select the linked control types to be displayed within the My Quick Update page.
How do you configure this?Â
You can navigate to the 'My Controls Page' via Menu > Workspace > My Quick Update.
You will be able to view this only if you have permission to view your own Controls, that you have been assigned as an Owner or Authoriser of a Control.
The below additional permissions will be required to view/edit the linked Controls:Â
In the Flex Hierarchy: User roles with permissions configured under Menu > Administration > Role Management > [Product = Controls] > Details > Control Details, will be able to view the Control Detail page.Â
The configuration setting must be switched ON for the feature to be enabled. This feature can be configured by ticking the setting via Menu > Administration > Configuration > Settings > Ability to configure the control types to be displayed within MQU'.
How does this work?
Upon selecting the linked Control Types to be displayed within the 'My Quick Update' page from the setting. The configured linked Control Types will only be displayed for those Controls within the 'My Quick Update' page.
3. Configuring the control owner and authoriser comment to be configurable within the master control |
This feature will let the Control Owner Comment and Control Authoriser Comment be configurable within the Master Control, despite being unique (similar to that of Control Owner, Owner Rating, Authoriser, and Authoriser Rating).
How do you configure this?
Navigate to the Master Control Details page via Menu > Control Register > Control Record > Control Details page.
Users with permission to view/edit the Control Details page.
The below additional permissions will be required to view/edit the linked Controls:
In the Flex Hierarchy: User roles with permissions configured under Menu > Administration > Role Management > [Product = Controls] > Details > Control Details, will be able to view/edit the Control Detail page.
How does this work?
When the Control Owner and Control Authoriser comment fields are marked 'Unique per Record', you will have the ability to maintain unique comments against the Master Control and the linked controls.
4. Configuring additional columns in the control register |
With this enhancement, the Control Owner, Owner Rating, Control Authoriser, Control Authoriser Rating, Control Owner Comment, and Control Authoriser Comment will be made configurable as columns in the Control Register.
How do you configure this?
Users will require to have the Register View permission to view the Control Register.
The fields must be ticked visible via Menu > Framework > Control Settings > Register Configuration.
The below additional permissions will be required to view/edit the linked Controls:
In the Flex Hierarchy: User roles with permissions configured under Menu > Administration > Role Management > [Product = Controls] > Register permissions.
How does this work?
The Control Owner, Control Owner Rating, Control Authoriser, Control Authoriser Rating, Control Owner Comment, and Control Authoriser Comment will require to be made visible to view it in the Control Register.
5. Introducing the save as default option in the control register filter |
With the introduction of the 'Save as Default' option in the Control Register, you will now be able to save a filter selection as the default selection for the logged in user.
How do you configure this?
Users will require to have the Register View permission to view the Control Register.
The below additional permissions will be required to view/edit the linked Controls:
In the Flex Hierarchy: User roles with permissions configured under Menu > Administration > Role Management > [Product = Controls] > Register permissions.
How does this work?Â
You will be able to save and keep predefined filters within the Control Register, so that each time you visit the Control Register page, the Controls filtered out for a specific criteria will be displayed by default.
6. Staff responsibility reassignment for controls |
This will let you reassign staff responsibilities for Controls for the Master Control and its linkages.
How do you configure this?
Navigate to Camms.Strategy > Menu > Administration > Reassign Staff Responsibilities.
If you are a standalone Risk Client, you will be able to navigate to the same page from Camms.Risk via Menu > Administration > Reassign Staff Responsibilities.
Users will require to have permissions to Reassign Staff Responsibilities.
The below additional permissions will be required to view/edit linked Controls:
In the Flex Hierarchy: User roles with permissions configured under Menu > Administration > Role Management > [Product = Strategy] > Administration > Reassign Staff Responsibilities.
How does this work?
Staff members who have been assigned as the Control Owner and Authoriser for the Master Control and its linkages as the responsible person, will be enlisted to transfer the set of responsibilities to another staff member.
