Can you please describe the difference between the role management area and the incident roles?

*For customers on the Flexible Hierarchy setup ONLY

  • Roles assigned at the role management level (at the staff profile against org structure) dictates what they can view in the register.

  • Roles assigned at the incident role level also plays a part in dictating what they can view but if they have no direct role against the record (inherited role), it needs to be applied to their user (within the User section) and then this dictates what they can do with the record - view, edit, delete, etc.
