Risk Settings FAQs

What do the Localization Setting options apply to?
The Localization settings allow customization of text elements such as labels, tooltips, and system messages across various modules. These settings ensure that the system’s language can be adapted to the users' regional preferences, aligning the terminology with organizational needs.
What is the difference between the Display Text and Language Details tabs?
Display Text is used to change dynamic, database-specific terminologies that are generated by admin-privileged users. Most of the terms in Display Text come from specific areas, such as Risk Settings, and allow users to create, edit, or delete entries under the relevant data dictionary type.
Language Details is used to change static, hard-coded application terminologies stored in internal system tables. These words are pre-populated in the system, and while users can edit them to suit their organization's specific terminology, they cannot create or delete these entries.
What is the difference between the Display Text in Risk Settings and Display Text setting in Localisation?
The Display Text in Risk Settings consists of terms that are primarily non-application labels, often generated and managed by admin-privileged users. These words mainly come from the Risk Settings area, and users can create, edit, or delete them under the relevant data dictionary type.
The Display Text in Localisation contains only application labels. These are predefined, system-generated terms that users cannot create or delete, but they can edit them to reflect their organization's specific terminology.
What is the difference between the two tabs called Value Setup and Value Preview in the Language Details tab?
The Value Setup tab allows users to configure or modify the actual text associated with specific resource codes, choosing different languages and modules to make adjustments.
The Value Preview tab allows users to preview the changes they’ve made across different languages. This tab provides a visual representation of how the text will appear in the application once localisation changes are applied.
