Custom Elements | Configure Custom Elements

Custom Elements allows the administrator to create their own assessment elements with criteria matching their organisation and staff. 

To create a custom element, follows the steps below: 

  • STEP 1: Custom Elements > Configure Custom Elements.

  • STEP 2: Scroll to the bottom and enter a custom element name under the 'Custom Element' column and select the element type from the dropdown menu under the 'Type' field.

The custom element types will be as follows:

Form

This element will be similar to a survey form. A question or statement will be shown and the user is expected to submit a feedback to it.

Table

This element will be in a tabular format. The user is expected to submit information into the table by referring the column headings.

  • STEP 3: Once a custom element is created, click View to go to the configure it.

  • STEP 4: Configure the custom element settings as described below:

Allow Rating

Configure if you want users to rate the criteria in your element.  You can choose whether to allow only Assessees to rate or only reporting officers to rate or both. You can also choose whether to allow users to rate the criteria individually or to rate the overall element.

Allow Comments

Configure if you want users to add comments to your criteria individually or to the overall element.

Criteria Mandatory During Setup

Configure if you want this element to be a Mandatory element for users during setup phase.

Assessed by & Criteria Editable During - Assessee

Configure if you want this element to be assessed by the Assessee and during which phase.

Assessed by & Criteria Editable During - Reporting Officer

Configure if you want this element to be assessed by the Reporting Officer and during which phase.

  • STEP 5: Scroll to the bottom and enter the required information as described below to add criteria for your element.

Label

Enter the criteria which you want the users to give the feedback.

Help Text

Enter the help text which will be shown when the user hovers over the criteria.

Field Type

Select the type of input you want the users to give the feedback.

Mandatory

Decide if you want this criteria to be mandatory for users to give the feedback.

Active

Decide if you want this criteria to be Active or Inactive. Only Active criteria will be shown to the user when assessing.

  • STEP 6: Click Add to save the criteria into your custom element

  • STEP 7: Once all the configurations are done for the custom element, scroll up and click Save to save the custom element or click Cancel to go back to the Custom Elements page without saving.

Once a Custom Element is created, it will be available for all users during setup phase.
